SUPPORT WORKER TRAINING

At Bannister In Home Care, we know that an organisation’s success, strength and sustainability depends on attracting and keeping people who share its vision, and who will share its success. Our experience working with the elderly is vast and we enjoy passing on our knowledge with each and every senior care worker that joins our fantastic team.

We seek to attract candidates of the highest quality, and we take the time and effort needed to choose them for their industry experience and compassionate and caring attitudes.

We provide staff with an intensive induction and service related training program, and all of our staff are extensively trained to understand and practice person-centred care. This ensures that the person’s wellbeing, feelings and experiences are at the centre of the care.

We pride ourselves on leading the way in using the person-centred care model within the industry.

Additionally, we offer staff the opportunity to undertake a Certificate III in Community Services. This qualification has been designed by industry, and endorsed by government (State and Federal) as the most desired qualification for support workers who provide in home care.

Because we understand the value of life-long learning and continuous improvement, we promote and support personal development. We provide staff with newsletters, training short courses, in-service seminars and supported attendance at industry forums and conferences; this enables them to stay up-to-date with the latest industry news, trends and changes.
