Our Story

Bannister In Home Care began in 2013, through the teamwork of Peter Neave and his partner Deanne Castronini. Noticing the struggles that some of the older people in their lives were experiencing as they tried to remain independent, conversations about what quality home care should look like quickly snowballed into something bigger.

Peter and Deanne saw that many older Australians wanted the same thing: to continue living in the comfort of their own home while maintaining choice, independence and connection to their community. However, they also saw how confusing aged care services could be for individuals and families trying to navigate the system.

What started as a discussion around how home care could be delivered differently soon became a commitment to creating a service that put people first. Rather than focusing solely on tasks and schedules, Peter and Deanne believed that quality home care should be built around relationships, trust and understanding what matters most to each individual.

From those early conversations, Bannister In Home Care was established with a simple goal: helping older Australians remain safe, independent and confident in their own homes for as long as possible.

Since then, Bannister In Home Care has grown to support clients across New South Wales and Queensland. While much has changed over the years, the philosophy remains the same today as it was in 2013: every person deserves care that respects their choices, supports their independence and helps them continue living life on their own terms.
