Market Rate will be discussed with you in preparation of your budget according to your supplier. Listed prices above give example rates.
Standard Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. Expenses to maintain personal affairs are claimed per bill. Expenses for home maintenance and repairs are claimed per item. A price range is only permissible for Direct Transport Services.
Notification of any cancellation must be received at least two business days prior to the commencement of the service otherwise full fees will be incurred.
You may be eligible for hardship assistance to pay for contributions. We can provide you with information.
We may adjust fees from time to time and will agree the price of services or consumables by mutual consent, following consultation with you.
For ongoing services, Support at Home Programme automatically sets aside 10% of your quarterly budget.
Your contribution rates are determined by Services Australia based on your pension status, income and assets, and the type of service you receive. Contributions apply at your assessed rates to services in the Independence and Everyday Living categories. You do not need to pay a contribution for Clinical Supports services.
We offer a range of trusted contractors for you to choose from. Alternatively, with guidance from your Care Partner, you may nominate your own service provider, subject to our approval and applicable quality and safety requirements. Please note the new supplier will take longer to process payment due to compliance checks, insurances, banking detail etc. If you arrange your own services under a self-management arrangement, our standard price includes the supplier’s service cost plus a 10% overhead to cover administration and compliance costs. The total service price will be explained and agreed with you before services begin.
We can help organise equipment, assistive technology, and home modifications to support your comfort and safety at home subject to Occupational therapist recommendation. We charge administration fees to cover the cost of assistive technology activities such as liaising with suppliers and arranging product delivery. This fee is calculated at 10% of the total cost of the item (or bundle), capped at $500 (whichever is lower). To cover the costs of home modification activities, we charge a coordination fee equal to 15% of the total quoted home modification costs capped at $1,500 (whichever is lower).
Who we service and how the transition works
Grandfathered Participants – If you were assessed eligible for a Home Care Package or were already receiving one on or by 12 September 2024, then you fall into this category. Your funding level will carry over into the Support at Home program, and your fee or contribution arrangements will not increase because of the reform.
New Entrants – If you were assessed for a Home Care Package after 12 September 2024 (or you will be assessed under the Support at Home program after full rollout), then you’re treated under the reformed model. Your budget, service classification and contributions will follow the new Support at Home rules (including the new service categories and contribution framework).
Important changes under the Support at Home model
Services are now categorised into Clinical, Independence, and Everyday Living supports.
Funding is provided as a quarterly budget rather than the prior daily subsidy model.
Participant contributions for Independence and Everyday Living supports will vary based on income/assets.
If you are grandfathered, you keep your existing arrangements; if you are a new entrant, you will adopt the new approach.
