At Bannister In Home Care, our goal has always been simple: to provide high-quality, compassionate, and person-centred care that empowers you to live well and independently in your own home.
We recently conducted our Client Satisfaction Survey to check in on how we are doing and find out where we can do better. We received 66 completed surveys from our community (a 15% response rate), and we want to share the overall results with you!

Overall Satisfaction: 84.9% of respondents reported being either "Very Satisfied" or "Satisfied" with Bannister In Home Care.
Likelihood to Recommend: Trust is best measured by whether you’d recommend us to your loved ones. An overwhelming 78.8% of clients said they would definitely recommend our services to others.
What We Do Well: Respect, Safety, and Reliability
The survey highlighted several standout areas where our support workers and care managers are truly shining:
Dignity and Respect: 83.3% of you feel you are always treated with dignity and respect.
Cultural Safety: 87.9% feel culturally safe and respected while receiving services.
Safety at Home: Feeling secure is paramount; 84.8% of clients stated they always feel safe during staff visits.
Respecting Your Space: 87.9% reported that support workers always respect their home and privacy.
Reliability: 71.2% noted that our support workers are always reliable and punctual, with most of the remainder saying they "usually" are.
Tailored Care: 86.3% believe their care is "always" or "mostly" tailored to their individual, specific needs.

Communication & Empowering Your Independence
Person-centred care means keeping you in the driver’s seat of your own life.
Supporting Independence: 66.7% feel their independence is always supported, helping them remain comfortably at home.
Comfort in Communication: Communication is a two-way street, and 71.2% of you feel always comfortable communicating and reaching out to our team.
Involvement in Decisions: 59.1% feel always involved in planning and making decisions about their care.

Moving Forward: Opportunities for Us to Grow
While these statistics are incredibly heartening, the true value of this survey lies in finding out where we can improve. Your open, honest written feedback gave us clear direction on where to focus our efforts next:
Navigating Funding & Budgets: A number of clients noted that understanding funding arrangements and the complex transition to the Support at Home program can be challenging. We are committed to providing clearer explanations, better education, and more transparent financial statements.
Consistency & Communication: Some of you highlighted that communication can occasionally be inconsistent, particularly around invoicing or when scheduling changes occur. We are actively working on ways to keep you and your families more promptly updated.
Invoicing Timelines: Delivering correct statements on time was flagged as an area needing a tune-up, and our administration team is on it.
